For aluminum gutters, 150–200 ft (using 175 ft), 1 story, replacement, no guards, national average, a typical planning range is $1,488–$2,975. Midpoint $2,232.

  • Taking down the old gutters adds about $263–$525 before the regional adjustment.
  • Most companies have a professional minimum around $800.
  • Aluminum here is the usual 5-inch K-style band. 6-inch profiles often sit a bit higher.

FAQ

How much does gutter installation usually cost?

Most homes land between $7 and $14 per linear foot for aluminum. Vinyl is often $4–$8. Steel is often $9–$16. Copper is often $20–$40. A typical 150–200 ft aluminum job is often $1,200–$3,000 before two-story work, removal, or guards.

Does replacing old gutters cost more than a new install?

Yes. Pulling the old system and hauling it usually adds about $1.50–$3 per foot. Fascia repairs, if the boards are rotten, are a separate line.

Are gutter guards included?

Not unless the quote says so. Mesh or micro-mesh often adds $7–$15 per foot. Reverse-curve systems can run higher. Mark guards in this calculator if they are in the quote.

Is a cheap per-foot number a good sign?

Not by itself. A vinyl sectional price on a seamless aluminum job is not comparable. Count linear feet, downspouts, removal, and whether fascia work is extra. See the red-flags guide.
